This is the “Coming Soon” trailer for Stacia & Michael. They were married on Oct. 2nd in Lake Placid, NY. It was a beautiful fall day! I wanted to use some epic movie trailer music for this one. I built this whole spot around the moment Stacia finds out what her wedding gift from Michael was…it was truly a magical moment and I love the way the music works perfectly for that section! I always pick the music first then edit everything to it.

The leaves have dropped and the snow is falling! It’s a somber and quiet time of year. Here is a collection of clips depicting that transition from Autumn to Winter, from snowfall to the magical morning after when the flakes cling to the trees. There is an abrupt transition from one piece of music to the next, it’s meant to do that! I thought it would represent the abrupt transition from snowstorm to crystal clear morning! This was mostly shot with my Sony EX1 with Letus Extreme, some V1 shots from the archives as well.
The music is “The Promise” from Michael Nyman’s soundtrack to “The Piano”, one of the most hauntingly brilliant piano pieces I’ve ever heard. After the change it goes to “First Time Outside” from the movie “Secret Garden” by Zbigniew Preisner. Buy these CDs if you can find them! I’ve had them and enjoyed them for nearly 20 years, I felt like they fit the mood perfectly for this video.
This is a new commercial for Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone, NY. They are one of the clients I have had since day one of starting my own business! In this commercial we wanted to have a generic “feel good” spot about the hospital, not promoting any one branch or service. The little boy is a friend of the family and this was his first TV commercial! The “Mom” was actually my niece Emily. I think they all did a great job.
This is the coming soon preview for Kristin and Adam Parker’s wedding video! They were married on June 12th, 2010 and it was an amazing wedding. Started in Lake Placid NY for makeup and hair then went to Saranac Lake for getting ready shots, then to Chapel island for the ceremony. The reception was at The Wild Center in Tupper Lake. I Shot all this by myself with my SONY XDCAM EX and also a Canon 7D.
